A special project created with the support of the Jewish news portal · In memory of the six million — that each may keep a name
About

About the project

A quiet memorial site in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and of Yom HaShoah, the Day of Remembrance.

About

Why this site

This site is a place of quiet remembrance. It tells of the Holocaust of European Jewry, of Yom HaShoah, of Azerbaijan in those years, and of how to keep memory name by name. The aim is not statistics, but people.

The materials were compiled from open sources with respect for the dead and the survivors. Out of respect for the victims, the site uses no authentic photographs of victims; all images are symbolic.

Sources

Where the data comes from

The facts were checked against Yad Vashem, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), Wikipedia and Visions of Azerbaijan. Figures are from open data and may differ slightly.

Images

All images on the site are symbolic and created with artificial intelligence (memorial candles, flame, stones of remembrance). Authentic photographs of victims are deliberately not used.
